See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.
Historic country village pub in North Gower, and the highest pub on the Peninsula, with old equestrian hardware on display on the old wooden beams. It has a separate bar and lounge/dining room, both with real fires. At the rear of the lounge is a small circular room, which is the pound (or animal holding area) which gives the pub its name. There is also a large seating terrace at the front, which may be covered by a large marquee in Winter. Home-cooked, locally produced food ranges from Breakfasts (9.30 am to 12 Tues- Sat) to snacks and main meals (plus good Sunday Roasts) is served most days.
