Due to a major fire on Monday 14th July 2025, the Worms Head Hotel in a world-famous Welsh beauty spot sustained serious damage and had to close for some time! On the 3rd of September 2025, demolition of part of the building started, with the owners promising to rebuild the hotel. This work is now well underway and whilst the hotel and kitchen areas are still closed and being rebuilt, the Helvetia Bar and Restaurant is now back up and running! Food is freshly prepared at The Causeway, a sister business next door, and they will bring it straight to your table in takeaway boxes. Original description: - Perched on the cliffs at the extreme western end of the Gower Peninsula the hotel enjoys stunning views of Rhossili’s magnificent beach, cliffs and the headland that gives the hotel its name. This large and friendly hotel, popular with walkers and tourists, has a spacious public bar at one end of the building with a large TV sometimes showing sport, and a separate lounge/dining area behind the main bar. There is also a separate function room available for hire. Good food is available all day. The large outside terrace is busy during fine weather due to the stunning views and sunsets. A separate car park is nearby. Please note that the opening and food times may be reduced during winter season (between November and March).
