Traditional and friendly, independently owned, rural Free House. It has a single Bar and separate Restaurant, both are decorated with lots of interesting local history pictures on the walls. A large rear patio has pleasant country views and overlooks the children's play area, with a covered, heated space for smokers and barbecue in summer. En-suite Bed & Breakfast accommodation (Airbnb) is available for anglers and keen walkers exploring the nearby reservoir, country park and beyond. There are two cask handpumps on the bar, but in quieter periods only one rotating beer may be available.
