Situated on the towns main shopping street, close to both the bus and railway stations. This Wetherspoon pub has a relaxed atmosphere, with its spacious open plan layout and a family friendly area. There are three regular ales seen in most Wetherspoon pubs on offer and usually three guest ales, which are often from nearby South Wales regional breweries.

History:- The pub is named after Caradoc ap Iestyn, first of the Lords of Afan, who built a wooden stronghold here in the mid 12th century. Before World War II, there was a gentlemen’s outfitters on the site. which closed down in the 1980s.
