See more about this pub on WhatPub, CAMRA's national pub guide.

Upmarket stone built pub, on the edge of the Bannau Brycheiniog National Park, well known for its food and ability to host functions such as weddings and birthdays. Inside the bar is downstairs, with some table seating also available to those just having a drink. Upstairs is a large restaurant/function area, part of which is in a wooden conservatory. Both floors feature an eclectic art gallery on display. Outside a large beer garden surrounds the pub with unusually a "Micro Zoo" at the rear. Accommodation is available, including in a new lodge nearby called the Sleeping Giant, named after a nearby mountain that resembles a slumbering giant.
