Historic and picturesque Refreshment Rooms at an Old Railway Station, which is now a freehold public house and restaurant. Interestingly this pub dates back to approx. 1890, when the Railway station was still in operational use and lots of the original features are included within the original room layout with high ceilings and log fires still present. There is an added wooden conservatory patio to the left hand side. The rooms arrangement allow a lounge at the left with the restaurant behind, with three other public rooms all used as bar areas, with the one at the right hand end being the games room. All rooms have historic pictures of either railways or inside the local coal mine. Sunday lunches are served at two sittings, Noon & 1.30pm, for which booking ahead is advised.
